I understand that the recovery of objects requires the digging of small holes, which will be repaired as nearly as possible to the original condition. Should a larger hole be required to recover a suspected valuable object, the detectorist will first contact me for permisson.

If I, the owner, know of a lost item and describe it below prior to the beginning of the property search, it will be returned to me if it is found. Should anything else greater in value than $1.00 be found, a 50/50% split of the value of such object will be made between me, the owner of the property, and the detectorist. The detectorist will have the option of giving me half the appraised monetary value of the object and retaining the object for himself.
